🔒 Private by design.
A private link: the Caregiver App opens from a private link protected by an access key, and setup changes can be locked behind an admin PIN. Luka never opens ports on your home network.
No 24/7 recording: short activity clips are made only when Away Monitoring is turned on, and they delete themselves after 7 days (or sooner, by hand). A camera log: every time the camera view is opened, it shows in the log.

Important — what Luka is (and isn’t)
Luka provides companionship, engagement, activity awareness, calming routines, and caregiver notification. It can ease the need for constant in-person supervision, but it is not a replacement for in-person care. If your loved one says “I need help” or “I fell” while Luka is in Active mode, Luka tells them it is letting you know and phones you. It is not a medical device: it does not monitor health, detect or prevent falls, or respond to medical emergencies. Luka never calls 911 and is not an emergency response system — in an emergency, call 911. The caregiver remains the responder.
